SiriusPoint Announces New Chair | American insurance business

SiriusPoint, the global specialist insurer and reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Bronek Masojada as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors.

Masojada, an industry expert with over 30 years of experience leading the insurance market, joined the board earlier this year. Sharon Ludlow, who joined the Board in February 2021 and has served as interim Chair since May 2022, will continue to serve as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at SiriusPoint.

“It is an honor to assume the role of President at this critical stage of SiriusPoint’s development,” Masugada said. “The company has a strong foundation, a solid platform and a skilled executive leadership team dedicated to driving performance and delivering results.”

Masugada also acknowledged the contributions of Sharon Ludlow.

“As interim chairman, Sharon successfully led the board through a difficult transition period, oversaw the appointment of a CEO focused on transformation and growth, and set SiriusPoint for future success,” he said. “I look forward to working with Scott and the executive team, as well as Sharon and our fellow directors, to ensure that performance, shareholder focus and value creation remain at the forefront of the company.”

Masugada, who retired as CEO of Hiscox Ltd in 2021 after nearly 30 years with the global specialist insurer and reinsurer, brings extensive experience in building businesses and driving strong performance and culture. He has played a significant role in growing Hiscox from a single office in London to a global presence with revenues of nearly $5 billion.

In addition to his role at SiriusPoint, Masojada is President of Placing Platform Limited, an industry leader driving digitalization in the London insurance market.

SiriusPoint recently announced the appointment of Nestor Lopez as Chief Technology Officer.
